Wow, you all lucked out on this one. You see, I have a tendency towards...locquaciousness, to put it nicely. I love telling stories and as a result, I talk too damn much. So you all are among the luckiest to ever put up with my crap. For one thing, when my stuff is on paper, its easier to follow and makes a hell of a lot more sense. And more importantly, if you don't care, you can just skip it without hurting my feelings. Therefore, there are now no more excuses...you're here of your own free will.
The Big Man wants me to describe myself...hmmm...alright...lemme think. I have three major priorities in my life. First are my relationships with those around me. Friends, family, significant others, etc. You'll probably catch that without my spelling it out now. It does however connect to the next personal focus; storytelling. This ranges from fact to fantasy and includes my interest in comic books, movies, and anything that anybody around me has done that has some entertainment value. The problem with this is that when combined with my talkativeness, when I retell the story, most people aren't as entertained as I was the first time around. Oh well, their loss.
The last major category of interest is music, both listening to it and making it. I quite singing formally after I graduated high school but I'm in my 11th playing electric bass since the 6th grade. I grew up listening to the Dead, but after I heard Coltrane for the first time, it was all over. Not that I don't still dig rock (and funk, R&B, bluegrass, classical, blub, blub, blub, blub, blub), its just that after over 10 years playing bass, its kind of tough to avoid jazz. The radio show and the band I play with are just different extensions of the urge to share what I get into with others. Keep checking here and I'll start dropping recommendations.
Oh, the boss kind of wanted a little physical description if I was up for it. Okay... medium height, medium build, short brown hair, brown eyes, and I wear jeans most of the time. If thats not specific enough ... bite me. Its 2:30 in the morning and I'm getting up at 7:30 AM to go to a wedding. G'night everybody.
