(10/6/97)

Well, last week, I hate to admit, was nothing to write home about. I had to exams which I stressed about a bit too much for my own good. I got a B on one and am eagerly awaiting my social psych test grade. I am way behind in my classes because I haven't done any work since Sunday. I spent Wednesday night and all weekend with Elliott and as much as I love him, he simply is not conducive to homework.
I am way behind in my classes because I haven't done any work since Sunday.

On a positive note, though, Veronica the matchmaker has struck again. For the past three weeks Elliott and I have been trying to set up my friend Laurie with his roommate Quinn. He called her once and they have been emailing pretty regularly. He described his ideal woman to be tall, intellectual, and brunette (Laurie in a nutshell). They finally met for the first time on Friday when we all went to Busch Gardens. They hit it off instantly and we all had a good time (they even frolicked/flirted on the swings!).

Quinn didn't kiss her but he'll come around.
The only problem was that she pesked out and didn't come spend the weekend with us at their apartment in Norfolk. I understand her reasons but I still wish she had come with us. Quinn didn't kiss her but he'll come around. Quinn was with Elliott and when searching for Laurie and I, turned to Elliott and said they should find "our women." I love setting people up! Elliott turned 21 this weekend so I spent the weekend with him. At BG on Friday, I played a game of Area 51 and had a high score so I got to enter my name. Call it a freudian slip if you like, but I entered my initials VMD instead of VMH, replacing my H with D, as in Elliott Dumas. I didn't even notice it until Elliott and Laurie pointed it out to me. I guess I didn't adequately push the snooze button on my matrimonial biological clock.
