| Another day, another dollar. Or at least it would be that way if I were working. It's just another week gone by out of my life. A perfectly nice week, but a week that I don't think will have a long and lasting affect on my life. On the other hand, maybe that's a good thing. | A perfectly nice week, but a week that I don't think will have a long and lasting affect on my life. |
This week started out nicely, with Quinn leaving Monday morning. The only odd affect that that had was to make Monday not seem like a Monday, and so on. I couldn't keep track of which day was which, but they all came and went and left me here, so I guess they were okay. The Arabic test of last Friday was QUITE hard, probably because this semester I haven't been spending as much time studying my Arabic as I did last semester. I've just got not enough vocab--the concepts are fine. To update from last week's post, I got the editorship of my magazine. No big surprise, but now I have to assume the mantle of responsibility somewhat. I have to go to the meetings of the Pub council and such for the rest of the semester, I believe. And production starts Wednesday night! Fun, fun...
It was especially nice because it was FREE and not only am I scrimping and saving, Quinn is running on monetary fumes too. |
Hasn't the weather been positively glorious?? I've been out basking in the sun somewhat, but not too much--I burn easily. Unfortunately, since the sky is blue, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, so my allergies are starting. Today I spent most of the afternoon lying on my bed half-asleep because of incredibly itching eyes. Well, that's not the only reason I was tired. Quinn came up this weekend again. It was, again, nice to see him. On Saturday we went out to Barksdale Field and played Frisbee, then we saw the free a capella concert Sat. night. It was incredibly exciting--Double Take sang "Birdhouse in your Soul" by They Might Be Giants, which is nearly my favorite band. It was especially nice because it was FREE and not only am I scrimping and saving, Quinn is running on monetary fumes too. Then, afterwards, we got a blanket from my room and went out to CW and lay in the grass behind the courthouse and stargazed. It was incredibly romantic and nice, but then it got chilly so we came in. |
This Friday, I have another Genetics exam, Wednesday I have a big lab due, and tomorrow night is my 21st birthday, so how much work do YOU think I'm going to get done? One other stressful thing--I get to meet Quinn's parents this weekend. That should be interesting. Friday is also our six month anniversary. I find it so amazing that I, a person who'd never gone out with anyone more than twice, could snag a nice guy like Quinn who is as (if not more) in love with me as I am with him. And on that note, I take my leave...
