So this week has been kind of boring. Work has not been that exciting. I keep waiting for a project of my own, but nothing seems to come my way. My boss has kind of promised me she'll give me something to do this week, since she has yet to give me anything to do. It's kind of weird to see everyone around me try to make their deadlines and come into work on Saturday, when I don't have that kind of stuff going on in my projects. I'm basically working on all this other stuff, but no pressure on me because it's not my project. Oh well. I guess they're "easing me in". I suppose in a few weeks I'll be up to my eyeballs in stuff to do. Hopefully.

This weekend Alex and I went to visit our parents. It was pretty cool. My parents gave me all the stuff they got on their cruise in the Carribean. Some fine Jamaican rum. And some t-shirts. And some stuff for Christmas. Yes, my parents like to shop early. So we hung out with my parents for a while and went on a tour of a historic tavern that my parents live next to. If anybody is up on VA history, my parents live across the street from historic Hanover Courthouse. This is where Patrick Henry had his famous trial (or not so famous), the Parson's Cause. Across the street, and next to my parents' house, is the tavern where Henry lived and worked as a bartender for his father-in-law. This is where we took the tour. It was kind of cool to see a piece of history, and hear my mom tell stories of going to pajama parties there and playing strip poker in one of the bedrooms. All girl strip poker games, mind you. Then we went to visit Alex's parents. I got to meet the whole family, and we all ate dinner together. His family is a lot like mine, so it was pretty easy to get along with them. It's kind of neat that we have much the same background. We've lived in the same kind of neighborhoods all our lives, our parents are still married, we each have one sibling. Our parents seem to have the same interests too. It was also nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia. We both live in sleepy little towns, so we're not used to all the activity up here :)

That's about all from my end this week. I hope next week is more exciting, or I'll have to come up with a story to tell!
