I said I was going to jump off Zable if you all didn't listen to me.

So I did.

What a weekend.

I wasn't drunk. Honest. I was just enjoying my evening. And one two many festive beverages. Props to my boys for those last two drinks at Pauls.

Then we played cross campus croquet. With the Hammer of Thor, and the cannon ball that goes with it.

In my discussions with people over the weekend, and watching the controversy spread on the Discussion Area, I've noticed a few things.

These controversies never come from outside those that know people participating. And it made me think about the true purpose of this site.

When I initially came up with the idea for doing this site, the pitch -- if you can call it that -- was this:

"Let's do a site based entirely on real life and see what kind of reactions we can get from strangers all over the world about what is going on at William & Mary."

Now, the way I see it these days, the key element to that statement is "strangers." I have always said that I am really happy with the support I'm getting from those who know me or anyone related to the site, but I thought it best to talk about the basis of this site.

It's certainly NOT for the friends of these people to read and get upset about. It's just not.

I really do want you all to participate if you can do so without getting offended. But if you can't read and not be offended by hearing your friends thoughts, then you really shouldn't be reading. Not that I'm trying to be rude here... But we're not out to hurt you all. But if you can't deal with reading this stuff, don't.

It would make you a lot happier. And as your friends, we are concerned about your happiness.

Please don't do something that will hurt you.
