The first thing you probably noticed on your way in here today was the new menu bar. It's part of my plan, to do something of a face-lift to the site over break (and yes, to some of my other sites as well.). Let me know if there is anything in particular that bugs you about the site, or improvements you think would be helpful.
The second thing you probably noticed (or will notice) is that the Discussion Area is being kinda touchy. I install Microsoft Internet Information Server 3.0 on the server, and now the new FrontPage extensions seem to be eating the table of contents. You can go into the _tucda directory and read the toc.htm file if you want... And then it works normally from there.
Third, I have set up a mailing list that anyone can subscribe to. Just click on the mailing list option on the menu to get instructions on how to join. I'll be using this list to send out notices, updates, and cool info about what is going on here... As well as possible "extra" posts from the participants. So sign up now for the UC mailing list!
Fourth, I added a button bar that should help with navigation. Not that I was getting a lot of complaints, but this should ease things. Let me know if you like it.
Today is the last day of "original" posts for three weeks. Starting tomorrow, we'll be doing three "theme" weeks, answering a question a week for three weeks. Then, on the day before classes start, Jack will kick things back off with new posts.
But unlike some other sites, we're live and still going strong! In addition, some of the participants are going to try and mail posts in to me from home, so there may be some original material as well to keep you up to date ... and they'll be trying to watch the Discussion Area... So there is plenty to keep you going!
And, of course, I'll be here the whole time.. I'm just running this from home now, instead of from the dorms...
Talk to you all soon..
