It was a different last day of classes than I'm used to. Last Day used to always be this wild day where we all ripped loose cause it was over. Today, however, was really different. When classes wrapped today, I just felt tired, and so I went to work and puttered there for a while, and then came back. Dinner, and then I went to The Bar.
While that was fun, it wound down quickly. So, I decided to join the UC gang that was there (Caitlyn, Jack, Bill, Allison and Erica were all there tonight) and went to Jack and Paul's room to watch Empire Strikes Back. What a great film. From there, Paul took Caitlyn home, while Bill was throwing up in the bathroom. The rest of us went out to the Early 80's party.
It was weird for me. I hadn't been out to Fraternity Row in a while, and I found that the people I used to depend on being there just weren't this time around. And that kinda brought me down a little, and I missed the people who used to be around. Paul showed up a little after we got there, and we all hung out.
I had a nice chat with Bill, and we talked about where we were going. I realized how ready I feel to graduate, since there is a lot I want to get done in the "real world" and can't because I'm in school. I dunno. Ambition overpowering reality maybe.
Anywayz, it's late, and bed calls. It was a lot of fun tonight, but strange. Last Day is always one I look forward to, and I always manage to see all those people who I've not bumped into all semester (as well as hanging out socially with the UC people, which I hadn't done in a while. If only Madeline wasn't writing a paper, and I knew where Mia was...)... This last day, however, was also a little sobering, and a little somber.
Oh, well. Ther'e always the next one (and this time it really will be the LAST Day.)
