Hey everyone- what's up? Dave has been asking me to write an alumni post and I finally said I would. It's not that I don't want to write on, but my life is so unbelievably boring that I don't have a lot to say. So,here goes.

When I got home from school, everything was pretty crappy. My parents were pissed that I didn't get into a medical school and my mom kept making these snide comments like, "People who graduate from school normally have jobs." So, I listened to that for about two weeks while I tried to come up with some plan for the rest of my life. I now have one- I am taking this year off and taking a nursing class that starts at the end of this month. When it ends in January, I will work at the same hospital that I am taking the class at and try to work a couple hours a day at a day care- I have really missed being around kids this summer. For the next school year, I will apply for a masters program at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Bio-medical Sciences. It was pretty much created for people who didn't get into med school. I talked to the director of the program and he called it "a one year interview." You take a lot of the same classes as the first year med students and then everyone gets to see what kind of a student you are and uses this to decide on the med school application. After that, med school, hopefully at EVMS. One of my roommates from last year is going to EVMS next year so we have talked about living together.
So, I listened to that for about two weeks while I tried to come up with some plan for the rest of my life.

I didn't do all that much this summer. After all the bitching about not having a job, my parents didn't want me to get a job. They let me live at home for no charge and paid me by the hour to do work for them. I loved it. I went to the gym everyday and I feel so much better about myself. I didn't lose any weight but I think I look good. I hope that didn't sound too conceited. I also visited Paul MANY times over the summer. Officially, we aren't dating but things are a little strange. Probably the most exciting thing that I did this summer was I went to the Lillith Fair concert at Merriweather Post with Mandy, my last year's roommate. She is going to school in Boston, the New England School of Optometry, so I was very excited to see her. If you don't know, Lillith Fair was a female singer concert. It was awesome. At our concert we saw Fiona Apple, Joan Osbourne, The Cardigans, Jewel, and Sarah McLachlan. There were six other bands there on the side stages but they weren't that great and we had only heard of one of them. Everyone at the concert was great except for the Cardigans. I had only heard one of their songs, the "love me, Love me" song they play on the radio. That, unfortunately, remains to be the only song I like from them. I didn't think they were that good.

I finally met Chippie!!!!!!!!!! It was so exciting. You can ask Bill or Dave, I talked about it all the way back in the car.
So that was my summer. I didn't do anything. I went to aerobics and watched my soaps. Last weekend, something fantastic happened. I went with Dave and others to this web-episodic-dinner-thing and V-Chip was there !!!!!!!!!!!! I finally met Chippie!!!!!!!!!! It was so exciting. You can ask Bill or Dave, I talked about it all the way back in the car. I was so surprised. Chip introduced himself to Dave and I looked up from my conversation with Craig and thought- that Chip??!! It was because he came up to me and started talking. He was great even though he hasn't sent me any e-mail back(hint).

So that is it. Maybe if something exciting happens, I will write another post. Take care. Bye.
