Yes indeed. Not only is today (Friday) DJDave's birthday, but tommorrow is the birthday of my good bud and apartment-mate, Mike Peters. Take a bow, boy...yer ancient now.

geez, Dave...like I'm not self-indulgent enough, you have to turn around and continue to give me an "official" forum in which to spew my unending shit. Well...here goes.

I have decided to tone down the random ranting and try to be a little more linear in my storytelling.
For those of you who followed the UC last year, I'm the dumbass with all the comic book pictures and music reviews in my posts. After watching and being involved in numerous "creative direction" discussions with regards to what might better attract readers, I have decided to tone down the random ranting and try to be a little more linear in my storytelling.

I graduated in May, only to start work with a small government contractor in the Maryland D.C. suburbs. Not much money coming in, but what the hell. It's paying the bills (just barely). Now that I've left playing with the musical group that Dave so creatively dubbed "the band" for the purposes of this site, I have lost most of my outlet for any music making, which is driving me up a wall. The only musicians I know in the DC area are already in a band or too busy with work and don't play much any more. So the bass just leans against the wall gathering dust.

While Mike and I saved up money to get out own place, he lived with his dad and I stayed with several people, some of whom would rather not be mentioned, and two of whom include Evolve folks Dave and Dale (about 2-4 nights at each place). While I have been a king moocher for a long time, it didn't sit real well with me, so it was nice to actually move out for real and pay my own bills (regardless of the fact that I had to continue borrowing money to do so). I finished school out of debt to anyone but mastercard and the beginning of June saw me picking up $2,400 in debt just in startup alone. Fortunately, Mastercard has forgotten to send me the replacement for my now expired card so I can pay it off without the temptation of loading myself with more debt (DO YOU HEAR ME, YOU CREDIT CARD BASTARDS!! I WANT MY NEW CARD!!).

Let me address certain recent events. First of all, while I can't say much for Kyle jumping the gun on his statement of intent to rush Alpha, I do support him fully cuz he's a pretty hip little bastard (that's a term of endearment...really). He's a good guy and Dave and Mike and I had a blast with him in the 'burg the night we caught up with him.

Allison and Ed...whoah...there's a wierd one. Can't say I didn't expect it, but it's still a little funky to try and figure out. They're two of my favorite people and I'm really happy for both of them. Extremely. On the other hand, her relationship transition method has left several, very pissed off people behind. Being friends with both of the men involved in the situation is the main reason why I have mixed feeling about the whole thing. So I'm gonna back off now before I step in any more shit. I know who is allowed to read this and who isn't. For those of you who are, if you have any issues with what I've said, please come to me personally rather than making it an issue on the discussion board. We had plenty of that crap last year and I don't want any anger stemming from misinterpreted text on a web site.

I've got to go look for someone. I'm off-site at another contractors and I need to find someone far more important than I.

Bill
