I didn't think that I would have a chance to post tonight, but the only way that I could tell Dave that my post would be late was to e-mail him, so I figure that I might as well send the damn post. So much for getting my work done...

I spent the past weekend up in PA visiting a potential new chapter of Alpha that we're helping to get off the ground. The whole thing took an enormous amount of energy (and I wasn't even the one driving the 16 hours on the road). The emotional energy needed to maintain the momentum, stay organized, get others enthused about the project, and make it all look like a viable project is enormous. The kids up there looking to start the chapter impressed us a great deal...those that we met. Apparently, some of the guys are somewhat half-assed about the whole thing. Fortunately, the group we did meet had enough enthusiasm for the whole group. This has the potential to be an absolutely amazing thing.

Speaking of Alpha news: Mads is my pledge now. I shall bring new meaning to the word "hazing." I shall force her to renounce the Penguins or risk facing my wrath. I shall torment her with immature taunts and childish shows of authority. BWAAAHAAAHAAAHAA!!!

...sorry about that...I got kind of carried away. So far, we've got a great pledge class. All of them are great. This is the biggest group of pledges we've had since I joined the fraternity 3 years ago. In addition to this semesters crop, we have a firm commitment on another guy for next semester and some real good possibilities other than that.

I had my second interview with one of the companies I'm hoping to hire on with yesterday (tuesday). It was a phone interview and it went fairly well. As I've said before, I can be somewhat long winded...hopefully, that wasn't too much of a problem on the phone. I have the second round interview with another company today. I have to drive down to Norfolk for it. Thank God for an extraordinarily generous roommate who is letting me borrow his vehicle for the trip. I'm not sure which of the two jobs appeals to me more. They both seem to me to be right on the money as far as the kind of stuff I want to do.

The new Agents of Good Roots disc, "Straightaround," is out. It is DAMN good. The middle of the album isn't as strong as the beginning and end, but the overall disc is great. I've been forcing it into the ears of anyone who would listen since I bought it the middle of last week.

I think that in the next week or two, I'm gonna have to pick up some Frank Zappa. Its about time. That'll really wierd some of these fuckers out.

No pictures this week. No time and no ideas. I'll see what I can come up with for my next post. Maybe I'll make it really graphics-intensive to slow down the loading time, eat up disk space, and piss Dave off. :) What do y'all think: an all graphics post from me. That way, you can just look at the pictures and not worry about the tedium of mundane chores like reading.

Time to cut this one short. I've got to get back to work. Later.
