Sorry 'bout that y'all. I'm trying to be up on current events. I got back on Saturday, and lemme tell you: WHOOOHOOO was Indiana fun! There was so much to do and it's such an exciting state and...and...and...BWAAAAHAAAHAAAAHAAA!!!! (maniacal laughter). But seriously, I left for Indiana the Saturday before Christmas and got to see my entire family. My cousin (the one that little Billy talked about for me) has gotten his act together to a great extent (both musically and socially). He is lookin like he's got a good shot a making it professionally as a musician. I must admit to a little jealousy, but he has drive in that direction that I have always lacked. I just can't see myself devoting myself to it in that way (dropping out of high school to take night classes, spending ALL extra money on equipment, etc.)
I bought 13 new CDs in the last 4 weeks. It is really strange stuff, even for my taste in music. None of it was really all that new, and I can't really say that I would recommend it to y'all unless you have a thing for the outer fringes of jazz fusion (acoustic bass guitar, drums, string quartet instrumentation). I'm stilling waiting for the new Agents of Good Roots album to come out, but I'm not holding my breath.
I am somewhat lacking in stuff to go into. I spent a wonderful week in Northern Virginia with Dana, followed by a nice week in Indianalpolis with my family (I got to see my brother who lives out west), followed by 4 more days with Dana over New Years (Very nice and relaxed: just what the doctor ordered), followed by a week and a half at home zoning out in front of the TV and eating junk food. Speaking of TV and video rentals and such...if you are into that kind of film, go rent "Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead". Extremely cool. Rates as one of my current favorites.
Thats all...I can't believe that I'm almost out of here.
