Well, I realize that you wonderful people out there are reading this Thursday or Friday even though I'm actually writing this Tuesday afternoon.

We had our Beta initiation on Saturday and then of course, Erica, Dana, Kathy and I had a champagne celebration.

I've decided to use this post as an opportunity to answer V-Chip's questions. :)

1. Let's see $50 million...after charitable contributions...I would next buy myself a piano. Steinway Grand in White or Off-White. Then I'd buy myself the largest stuffed Winnie the Pooh I could find.

2. Yes, I've sent meals back before at restaurants. When I was in South Africa I ordered Impala curry. I thought Impala was a veggie, not a cute little fuzzy antelope. When the waiter saw my shoked look, he asked if I was a foreigner. I explained that all that aside, I was simply wacko. He took it away and brought me ostrich neck instead (which is yummy!)

3. No, I have never in my entire life shoplifted an item.

4. I have not yet been in a position where my best friend's SO (significant other) has hit on me. I have, however, found out on several occaisions that my SO was hitting on my best friend. This was a million years ago in high school. I of course turned to my other friends for consolation and advice. Then my friend beat the crap out of him!

5. My roommate and I share a laundry hamper. Every week, one of us does all of it. We alternate of course. I am more skilled than she, however, when it comes to folding, she's a champion.

6. Sexiest thing ever said to me...how about weirdest pick-up line? I've always been incredible gullible and I was explaining this to cute-Scottish-boy. I said to him "I believe anything I'm told." He responded: "Good, then I know you'll believe how sincere I am when I tell you that you have the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen."

7. I believe that men and women can be best friends with each other. Sometimes, sexual urges may exist, true. That can sometimes be a good thing. I hope that the person I marry some day will serve double duty as my best friend. Sometimes, these urges should be left ignored at the risk of destroying a friendship.

8. I have never been a victim of racial discrimination, however, trails of apartied still exist in South Africa and I was very uncomfortable noticing that I was being treated as "priviledged" because I am white. I was seated separately at restaurants and was given priority at shops, for example.

9. I suppose I'd date someone shorter than me, but I'm not very keen on it. I am 5 foot 1, so the prospect is extremely unlikely anyway.

10. Best date I've ever had? 5 hours at the National Gallery of Art (in New Zealand) to study one painting and write prose about it. It was a Creative Writing seminar that I was invited to attend as a young, published, writer. He came along for the duration and didn't complain for one second. 5 hours of silence surrounded by art. :)

Well, folks. I'm off for Turkey-Day. Have a good one. I have no email access until Sunday, so I'll "talk" to you guys when I get back.

David B. and V Chip, have a great week and stay out of trouble.

Love, Allison
