Ed is a sweetheart, a true southern gentleman who can make my spine tingle at a glance.
I can't believe that it is that time of the year again...The squirrels are haunting, the beer is pouring and classes are back in session. This summer has seen some significant changes in my life. As many of you know, Jacob Reiner and I are no longer seeing each other. We officially broke up on August 17th, but many things were leading up to it throughout the summer. The relationship was getting too serious...I mean, hey, I'm only twenty, I don't want to be talking about marriage this soon. Anyhow, perhaps the most influential cause of the break-up was my falling deeply for someone else. Ed Baker has been such a good friend over the last year and this summer the barrier finally broke down and we each discovered that something more was out there. I am so happy about how things have turned out. Ed is a sweetheart, a true southern gentleman who can make my spine tingle at a glance. We have so much in common, but on the other hand, the differences which we do have, allow us to be complimentary. This is exactly what I need. My parents love him to death and have made no comments about the eight year age difference between us. Well there's the run down of my social life.

Orientation just finished up yesterday, and I loved every minute of it. I was the Assistant Orientation Director for two freshman dorms and off-campus freshmen and the best part was...I got to carry a walkie-talkie for five days. I found some women that I hope will rush Beta and some men that may be interested in Alpha. Speaking of Alpha, Rachel Madison got a shake a couple of days ago and I think that is awesome. Rachel lives upstairs from me and she's great. I love having a single again this semester. It's so peaceful but at times, can be lonely.

So far, I have had three classes: Judiciary American Politics, US History to 1877, and Synchronized Swimming. I love my schedule! Nothing before 11 a.m. It will, however, be hard convincing myself to get up early and study. I will have to the next couple of weeks because Sorority Rush is SOOO time-consuming. But soon, it will all be over...

I really missed the UC over the summer. It is so nice to be back with a bottle of bourbon on the shelf (Fighting Cock) and a Woodchuck in the fridge...Mmmm. I can't wait until Friday. It will be another fun, exciting weekend with Ed in "Allison's House of Pleasure." Brad Getz is bringing handcuffs, fingercuffs and a riding crop. I'll be at The Bar on Friday...
