Fairfax, Va. — April 13, 2009 — Evolve Technologies (www.evolvetech.com), a company that specializes in information technology (IT) solutions, and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, today announced that it would participate in a small business roundtable developed by Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance to serve small businesses in northern Virginia. The event, “Building a Strong Business Bridge over Troubled Economic Waters,“ will be held on April 16 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Carver Center in Purcellville, Virginia. The event is being hosted by the Purcellville Town Council, the Economic Development Advisory Committee and Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance in coordination with the Purcellville Business and Professional Association to bring critical awareness to the issues facing small businesses today.

The Virginia Farm Bureau regularly sponsors seminars throughout Virginia. The Northern Virginia initiative is designed to help business owners’ map out a tactical journey for sound decision-making regarding cutting costs, common legal challenges, fiscal real estate management, identification of funding sources and technology support. Experts in each of these fields will be present to provide advice and analysis to attendees through a strategic process designed to expedite sound decision-making in a timely way. This session represents the first in a series of small business roundtable events that will be held in towns across Northern Virginia. Purcellville Town Council has taken the initiative to pursue the launch of this program for their businesses.

Dee Cook, Business Development Specialist, Virginia Farm Bureau, commented, “The Purcellville roundtable promises to be an evening filled with important, relevant, timely information for the town’s small business community. The Farm Bureau is sponsoring these discussions across Northern Virginia because we understand that during these very difficult economic times small businesses are extremely vulnerable. They need access to no cost, no obligation advice so that they can pursue the best course for strategic business growth or transfer. All too often, we meet many people who did not have the information they needed to make the best decision for growth and redirection and. we want this event to provide a compass that will lead them to safety and growth.”

“Evolve Technologies, as a lead member of the roundtable, feels an obligation to provide support to our fellow small businesses — the Purcellville session is the perfect platform to do just this,” said John Flaherty, Vice President of Sales, Evolve Technologies. “We often find that business owners underestimate the important role that technology plays in helping a company to succeed, and during our presentation we will outline the top 10 IT mistakes made by small business owners and outline strategies to avoid these common pitfalls.”

Registration for the event is free and open to the public. To RSVP and for more information, email or call Cheryl Herman cherman@purcellvilleva.gov 540-751-2326 or Stephanie Boylan sboylan@purcellvilleva.gov 540-751-2300.
