Evolve Technologies Supports Emerging IT Industry Standards
Company contributed to a new managed services accreditation exam
Fairfax, Va. — April 1, 2009 — Evolve Technologies (www.evolvetech.com), a company that specializes in information technology (IT) solutions for small businesses, and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, announced today that it participated in the development of a new business level Managed Services accreditation exam entitled, “MSP Pro,” earlier this week. This exam was constructed based on the collaborative effort of MSP Partners, CompTIA, IPED and many select MSPs. The exam will be powered by CompTIA, an IT industry organization dedicated to advancing industry growth through educational programs, market research, networking events, professional certifications and public policy advocacy.
MSP Partners is an alliance of leading IT companies that have joined in a common dedication to the development of their solution provider communities by creating a comprehensive source of education on MSP success. “Our new MSP accreditation exam is another vital step in giving solution providers the tools and business level validations they need to grow and prosper during their business transformation to Managed Services. This new exam is based both on real-world experience and the educational content provided by our members on the MSP Partners site,” said Jim Hamilton, Executive Director of MSP Partners.
This comprehensive exam covers materials included in the MSP Partners education program as well as overall industry best practices. MSP Partners, CompTIA, IPED as well as a group of leading MSPs, including Evolve Technologies, participated in the exam development. CompTIA and MSP Partners will manage online exam delivery through CompTIA testing partners. The exam is currently scheduled to be available exclusively to MSP Partners’ members in the second quarter of 2009.
Dave Sobel, CEO, Evolve Technologies, said, “Evolve Technologies was thrilled to have a voice in this exciting process. Developing a concrete measure of Managed Services is so important to delivering high-quality solutions.
